Mission Statement

The mission of the Farmers Branch Police Department is to assure each citizen the opportunity to enjoy life in peace and free from criminal acts. Through a commitment to work in partnership with the citizens to provide courteous, professional services, the department will fairly and impartially carry out the mission with pride.

Accreditation 

The Farmers Branch Police Department has recognized status with the Texas Police Chiefs Association's Best Practices Recognition Program. Being recognized means that the agency meets or exceed all of the identified best practices for Texas Law Enforcement. These Best Practices cover aspects of law enforcement operations such as use of force, protection of citizen rights, pursuits, property and evidence management, patrol operations, and investigative operations.
