The Arts and Culture Committee, in partnership with the Parks and Recreation Department, has unveiled the Farmers Branch iteration of Love Locks.
The art piece was fabricated and constructed completely in-house by the Parks Special Projects Crew. Similar to the concept found in many countries around the world, visitors are invited to attach their own padlock to the Love Locks structure as a symbol of their bond and forever love. The Love Locks installation is located at The Grove at Mustang Station, 12700 Denton Drive. Share the love by using #FBTX in your Farmers Branch Love Locks photos.
Love Locks is one of several new public art pieces recently installed in the City. A one-of-a-kind sculpture, designed by student artists from Dallas College Brookhaven Campus, was installed near the Shops at Mustang Station, and a stunning mural on The Firehouse Theatre’s west exterior wall, designed and painted by a Farmers Branch resident, has been completed. Other exciting projects will be coming online soon, so stay tuned.
