In order to assist residential customers with potentially high water bills related to burst pipes during the recent, unprecedented freeze, the Farmers Branch Finance Department will adjust March water bills to reflect the same amount charged in March 2020.
This one-time policy will only apply to customers who realized a 30 percent or more increase in their water bill (comparing February 2021 billing to March 2021 billing) and only if they contact Farmers Branch Customer Service with some level of documentation (plumbing bill or picture) that the leak has been repaired. Additionally, no plumbing permit fees will be charged until March 15 and water disconnects will be discontinued through March 31 in order to allow customers to recover from recent events. More resources can be found on the Winter Storm Cleanup page.
