FBTX ~ The Manske Library has a new roof and 442 solar panels with an estimated annual output of 300,000 kWh, compared to an average home that uses about 12,000 kWh annually.

The Farmers Branch City Council last year gave unanimous approval to a $2.55 million Library renovation, included in the City’s 2020-2021 fiscal year budget.
The new roof and solar panels were budgeted separately.

The overall Library enhancements will make substantial upgrades to the building's front plaza, amphitheater, front door vestibule, outdoor seating and mezzanine patio.
The entire renovation should be complete by May 2021.
