CHANGES: Fire Department announces a retirement & promotion

FBTX ~ On October 29, Angelo Nigo retired after more than 29 years with the Farmers Branch Fire Department.Angelo Nigo

   Firefighter Nigo had recently been assigned to E132 as a driver and earlier in his career treated countless citizens as a certified paramedic.

   “I've enjoyed more than 29 years at the fire department and have made life long friends here. I've enjoyed serving the City as a firefighter and paramedic and have seen many changes in the department," he said. "It is now time to move on to another phase in life.”Anthony Casillas

   Nigo's retirement opens the door for firefighter / paramedic Anthony Casillas to be promoted as the next driver. Firefighter Casillas has been with the Farmers Branch Fire Department for more than three years and currently oversees the fire equipment tool account.
