FBTX ~ With the advent of the latest orders from Austin, the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center e-opened on June 8 with regular hours but a limit of 50 percent occupancy.

As the first floor is preparing for renovation work, only the second floor fitness area and the walking track will be open. Exercise equipment has been spaced for social distancing and the locker rooms and showers will be open.

Patrons and staff are asked to wear facial coverings, wash their hands frequently and maintain social distancing from fellow patrons. Because the Recreation Center will be operating solely as a fitness facility, only members ages 15 and up are permitted to use the facility during this time. Youth activities will be reintroduced on a limited basis in the coming months. For more information about activities, occupancy or other questions, visit fbreccenter.com or call 972.247.4607.

   Regular hours will be Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
