Love in the Park Yoga

Start your day off right with Yoga. Including balance, strength, flexibility and ending in a blessing. Bring your own mat, towel or blanket.
Join the Farmers Branch Historical Park for an all ages Bird Walk. In addition to exploring the Historical Park and related areas, examining bird species and habitats, the Bird Walk also includes counting for the Great Backyard Bird Count, an annual event which helps to map the distribution and abundance of birds across the world. The Great Backyard Bird Count is February 15-18, 2019. Visit gbbc.birdcount.org for more information. Bird enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to participate. Guests are invited to bring binoculars, but are discouraged from bringing pets.

Join Miss Samantha for an hour of great fun as we move about the Park playing games, exploring and using our imagination while dancing, including hip hop, to fun music. Love is in the Air! Cupid has visited the
Historical Park! Learn all about the origins of Valentine’s Day
as you make Victorian Valentines to share with loved ones,
tour the Queen Anne Victorian Cottage and more. Like

Love is in the air at the Historical Park! Stroll through our structures and stop to see famous scenes from Shakespeare’s most romantic works performed. End your stroll by taking a photo of you and your Valentine in the Old Church to add to our “love line”. Light refreshments will be served, don’t forget to pick up your special gift.

A sweetheart of a class. Make your own chocolate candy box for Valentine’s Day at the Dodson House. Learn how to roll truffles and make a flavor-infused ganache. Each guest will take home an amazing box of chocolates and candy. Whether you share it or not…is up to you!
