The Summer Funshine Program, a recreational day camp for children ages 6-12 years, will be in operation at a new location this summer. The program meets Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm* from June 15 through the duration of summer break. An abundance of precautions will be in place in an effort to keep your family and our team members safe this summer. Please continue reading for more information. 

  • Open enrollment has ended. For program availability, please contact Recreation Center staff at 972.247.4607. 
  • Enrollment is limited to 100 participants (down from the normal enrollment limit of 300). 
  • Summer Funshine will NOT meet at the Recreation Center. The program will meet just one block away at The Branch Connection (formerly known as the Farmers Branch Senior Center), located at 14055 Dennis Lane. The Branch Connection is closed to the public this summer, which means Summer Funshine has exclusive use of the facility.
  • The Summer Food Service Program (free breakfast and lunch) will be different this summer. The CFBISD will offer Grab-and-Go Meals at Blair Elementary and other school campuses for CFBISD students. Families will be responsible for picking up meals, but meals can be stored on site during the summer. Families are encouraged to take advantage of this service. For more information, please visit

**Parent/Guardian's current government-issued ID required for all registrations. Proof of residency required for Farmers Branch residents. Refer to registration website for acceptable forms of proof of residency documentation. Current Free/Reduced Lunch Letter required for Farmers Branch families seeking financial assistance. Birth certificate required for all first-time participants. Documentation accepted via secure online registration website only. Please do not email documentation. 

Two Payment Options Available:

Total program cost is the same regardless of which payment option is selected. Fees are based on 8 weeks of summer break. Fees may be adjusted if summer break is shorter or longer than 8 weeks.

First payment is due at time of registration. The remaining payments are due June 19, July 10, and 24.
