Charlie Bird stories being sought for remembrance at Veterans Day

FBTX ~ Although his accomplishments were many, the late Charlie Bird will be remembered by many as the founder and original motivator for the Farmers Branch Veterans Day Celebration.

   A former member of the City Council, founder of Concerned Citizens of Farmers Branch and longtime civic volunteer, Mr. Bird passed away earlier this year.

   The Veterans Day Celebration committee is asking the public for stories, memories and photos that can be used to remember Charlie in a display at this year's celebration, set for Friday, November 9.

   Anyone wishing to contribute should submit their favorite personal story or memory of Charlie Bird to:
