Aquatics Manager featured in international magazine

Rachael Arroyo writeup

FBTX ~ Detailing her experience in the field and, specifically, at the Frog Pond, Farmers Branch Aquatics Manager Rachael Arroyo was featured in the 'Member Spotlight' segment of June issue of World Waterpark magazine.
Ms. Arroyo detailed her background as graduate of Tarleton State University and the TRAPS Leadership Academy and how her path led to the Farmers Branch Aquatics Center.
"Growing up, I was never afraid of the water," she told the magazine. "My parents had to watch me closely or I would jump in ... so, they put me on a community swim team. I swam competitively in high school, which made it an easy transition into lifeguarding. I knew how important it was to watch over these families, and to teach them skills that could potentially save their own or someone else's life someday."
Ms. Arroyo credited the Aquatics Center staff as "big motivators." She said the favorite part of her job is "watching and helping my staff develop and grow as individuals and as a team."
"We operate as a 'Frog Squad' family and I enjoy every day I am there knowing that we could make a difference in our community," she explained.
