FBTX ~ A new report has revealed that more than 5,000 cubic yards of clean brush has been diverted so far this year, in accordance with the new pickup schedule designed to keep material out of the City-owned Camelot Landfill.
Sustainability & Public Health Director Shane Davis told the City Council in a briefing last week that the idea of picking up clean brush separately, in order to divert it from the landfill, is gaining traction with increasing amounts of brush collected.
In February, 1,080 cubic yards of brush were collected by the Green Grabber. Those numbers went up to 1,300 cubic yards in March and 1,580 in April.
