Free Registration

Farmers Branch will celebrate the roses in the gardens with an exceptional slate of activities. The day begins with free registration in the Gussie Field Watterworth Pavilion. First on the list is Picking in the Garden where a bluegrass jam session will serenade participants as they select blooms for the Hands on Floral Design Workshop. Check out the display of fragrant roses. Pick up gardening tips and talk with Master Gardeners. Girl Scouts will learn about the Power of the Pollinator and try their hand at creating a bouquet. Create a piece of art to take
home while enjoying the gardens. The Dallas Rose Society Rose Show will be held in City Hall. A complementary grilled hotdog lunch by Rawhide Creek will provide sustenance for the day with entertainment by Augusta Road. Shuttles will provide easy access to the rose gardens throughout the day.

Tour the Gardens 

8:30 am  - 4:30 pm  |  Rose Gardens

Hop on and off a shuttle to enjoy and explore the different gardens. 

Pickin’ in the Garden with the Dean Osborne Band 

9:30 - 10:30 am  |  Main Rose Garden 

Enjoy some live music in the garden while picking roses for arranging during the hands on workshop at the Pavilion. Clippers and buckets provided.

Hands on Flower Arranging

10:30 - 11:30 am  |  Gussie Pavilion 

Brookhaven Garden Club will help you create a floral piece that you can take home at the end of the event.

Power of the Pollinator

9 am - Noon  |  West Rose Garden

Ages 6 & up. Create lovely bouquets from pollinator friendly plant materials and learn about the value of pollinators. 

Lunch & Bluegrass with Hwy 19

11:30 am - 1 pm  |  Gussie Pavilion

Enjoy a complimentary grilled hot dog lunch with some toe tapping music by Hwy 19.

American Rose Society South Central District Rose Show

12:30 - 4 pm  |  City Hall

Smell the roses, admire the blooms and floral designs. Rosarians will be there to answer questions.

New Roses & Insect Natural Defense Systems

1:30 & 2:30 pm  |  City Hall

Catch up on new roses available for the gardener and be fascinated by the world of insects.

Art Trading Cards

1 - 4 pm  |  Historical Park Rose Garden

Stop by and create a trading card or two with the Lewisville Visual Art League. Requires a Bluegrass ticket available at the Historical Park entrance gate.
