School Tours

Experience interactive school tours at the Farmers Branch Historical Park with your students!


Structures and activities include:

  • A historic lesson in the 1910 one-room school house
  • 1840s log cabin with garden instruction by the Dallas County Master Gardeners
  • Exploring frontier medicine in the 1856 Gilbert House
  • A scavenger hunt in the 1927 General Store

Register for grade level appropriate tours now!


Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD and schools within Farmers Branch city limits can begin registering on August 1, and all other schools can begin registration on August 8. Tours are customizable and led by trained docents in period costumes. Teachers can choose which buildings to tour, to lunch in the park and/or to visit the museum store.

All tours are $3 per child.
Teachers and chaperones are FREE!

Guided Tours


The Farmers Branch Historical Park currently offers a variety of onsite programs and tours for citizens and visitors to Farmers Branch. Onsite tours are available weekdays or by special appointment. To schedule a tour please call the Historical Park at 972.406.0184.
