Celebrate the season with family and friends during a guided tour of the “From Prairie to Posh” Christmas exhibit at the Historical Park. The exhibit offers a glimpse into the mid-late 19th century and spotlights how the average "citified" urban versus "country" rural family celebrated Christmas. Guests will be able to compare the similarities and differences in the decorations, gifts, entertainment and attire.

Looking for another creative skill to add to your belt? Come explore all types of paint from acrylics to watercolors at the Dodson House. All skill levels welcome and encouraged, participants will learn how to create watercolor Christmas cards and brush lettering.

‘Tis the Season! Join the Farmers Branch Historical Park as celebrate the holly-jolly month of December by trimming the School House tree, creating take home ornaments, snack and a sneak peek at the “From Prairie to Posh” exhibit and more.

Jingle, Mingle and Gingerbread

Calling all Christmas lovers! Help the Historical Park celebrate the season with gingerbread at the Dodson House. There will be jingling and mingling, a hands-on craft and enjoy hot cocoa and yummy snacks. Parents be sure to bring your camera.
Ages 5 – 12 (4 year olds are accepted, provided they have an older sibling present) Fee: $15 per child, space is limited and pre-registration required
